Every great sauce has a story. Mine starts with family, flavor, and a little fire.
Growing up with Dutch-Indonesian roots, bold flavors and spicy food have always been part of my family’s culinary heritage. In Indonesian cuisine, a little heat isn’t just an ingredient. It’s a way of bringing food to life.
That love for flavor eventually grew into something bigger: a fascination with chili peppers, fermentation, and the endless possibilities of combining sweet, sour, savory, and seriously spicy.
What began as curiosity in my own kitchen turned into JazPeppers — my little world of handcrafted hot sauces, unexpected combinations, and occasionally questionable levels of heat.
For me, making hot sauce isn’t about creating the hottest thing imaginable. It’s about finding that perfect balance where flavor comes first, the heat follows, and every bite leaves you wanting more.
Every small batch is an experiment, every pepper has a personality, and every jar carries a little piece of my passion.

Ever wondered why it’s Jazper with a Z?
When I was a little kid learning to write, I had a habit of writing the letter S backwards. Instead of correcting me, everyone just rolled with it. The backwards S became a Z, and somehow, it stuck.
So technically, JazPeppers started with a spelling mistake.
Some mistakes are simply too good to fix.
